One of the hottest trends on the makeup scene today can be identified as the “Euphoria makeup look”, the “Euphoria look” is mainly focused on the accentuation of the eyes using an editorial approach. Looks can consist of vibrant eyeshadows, metallic pigments, graphic liner, glitter, and crystals.
This makeup phenomenon stemmed from the HBO series Euphoria. Euphoria celebrates diversity among its cast and they often express themselves through sublime makeup looks. Stars like Zendaya, Alexa Demie, and Hunter Schafer were seen throughout the series rocking sensational never before seen looks that have since then, heavily inspiring today’s makeup culture. Inspiring many influencers and fans to recreate looks inspired by the show.
To create a Euphoria makeup look: is to be vigilant with your feelings and let your emotions take over your makeup brushes, expressing how you feel with color. Using brilliant in color shades can result in a Euphoria look, whether it’s rich purple and blues or a blazing metallics. From the beginning of the summer until now this trend has inspired makeup enthusiasts all over the world to step outside of the box and experiment with new techniques and color combinations that were once looked at as gaudy or excessive. Euphoria is daring and inspires people to be their authentic selves.
